Feeling very cooped up in the house, yet it is raining like crazy outside ><

Contemplating agreeing to let Beau chase me around the house just to get off the couch.

Suggestions anyone?

On art blogs and other birthdays

So I think I'm going to start an art blog, just a place to post something creative I've done at least once a day (I figure if I shoot for every day I'll at least get one a week!) Mainly I can't decide between using livejournal or blogger as my place for it.

Work has picked up a lot and I feel like its basically all I do lately!
Thanksgiving was fun but hectic and I cooked soooo much food. My mom didn't end up showing up due to her own drama so I had just my brother and sister over. It was still nice and we had a good time. The turkey turned out so juicy and delicious! I was really proud of it! I have some pictures I'll probably post later.

We got a Christmas tree at like 11 oclock last night! It was pretty random but I'm happy we've got one! I think it probably needs to be watered again...

The other big thing I guess I wanted to say is that I'm having a Birthday Party/Housewarming Party December 19th and I want everyone to be there- come see our new house and hang out with me! I promise I won't bore you :P
I really miss people and so it would be great to see everyone, you can even stay the night if you like, we have lots of floor room :)

Gah, I need to wake up...so sleepy...retail drains me ;_;

All of a sudden life is just moving so fast...its like time slowed down before the move in because it felt like so long to wait and now it has to speed up to catch back up!

I keep having freaky dreams about being pregnant! So weird! And when I have the baby...it's already fully grown.
>.> No more of this!

I love the new house so much, now we just need more furniture and decoration. We've finished unpacking every room except the spare bedrooms now :D (only took 2 weeks! :P wahh wahhhh)

COD4 is mucho fun but I think I might have to ignore it a little when L4D2 comes out Tuesday.

I can't wait for things to slow down again so I can begin some fun projects! Can't wait for Thanksgiving and Christmas though, we got cute ornaments for our first Christmas tree already and I'm having my family over to the new house...so it will be my first time cooking a huge Thanksgiving meal!

Trying to think of when to have my birthday because I want everyone who possibly can to come visit! I miss people! ;(

Time for a relaxing bubble bath! ^-^

Can't sleep yet.

Too excited!

When is a good time for a housewarming party?  Everyone says we're supposed to have one of those and I want everyone there :)

Bought our new refrigerator for the house today!  Yay!  I'm proud of us for saving up enough to buy it outright :D  8 more days til we move in, I'm so ready!   We've got quite a bit packed but there's still a lot in the studio to finish up.

Last night we went to see an awesome showing of Evil Dead at the Colony theater with Zach!  They had a really old scratched up print of it so it made it even more awesome!  It was really fun!   Also, Friday night I get to be in the Frightmare haunted house too...maybe as a zombie or something!  I'm just hoping I don't scare myself and can actually manage to scare other people!

I'm going to be Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween!  Finally got a costume ;)   I cheated again this year and bought one but it's adorable!  I think we're going to try and pass out candy to the neighborhood kids - easiest way to meet the neighbors our first weekend in the new house!  Then maybe roam around town and annoy people in costume.

What's everyone going to be for halloween?  I wanna know!

Writer's Block: Concert mania

What band are you dying to see live in concert that you've never seen before? Would you travel to a different city or state just to see them?

Freaking Muse.

They were just in town too...for some reason NOT the main attraction at a U2 concert.  Bad timing, and I didn't care to see U2.  Plus it probably cost a million bucks a ticket for the huge stage U2 had setup.

But yes, Muse.  And why the hell I don't have their new album yet I don't really know.  Something about "wait til' Christmas"?   You do not wait for Muse.  And Muse should never be second to U2.

And yes, I'd travel across the galaxy.  Just not to the U2 concert.  Okay maybe I should have.

Home inspection was yesterday, I got to go for a little while before work so I could snap some pictures and brainstorm about where things will go in the new house. :)  Everything came out pretty great for the inspection the only things we're probably going to ask them to fix is a bit of moisture under the house and there were one or two panels on the house that  looked like they could be showing signs of rotting.  Pretty normal stuff for the most part.  Going to sign papers about that tonight!

The closet in our bathroom is so crazy big, I didn't even remember it being that big.  You could play ball in it or something.  If that's your thing I guess :P   Anyway, I'm so excited, I've already started packing.  Although with how few days I have off I'll probably have to start packing this early to get it all done in time.

Moving out the weekend of Halloween is going to be interesting.  I hope there's some odd chance we can move our closing day up a couple of days or something!

OH:  Almost forgot
, Speaking of Halloween.  It's one of my favorites...and I have no existing plans so far so I wanted to see how many people would be interested in going to Clayton Fear Farm with Beau and I.  Based on their website it looks like they don't sell admission based on the day so we could possibly even go Halloween night.

If people are interested let me know because they have some kind of group rate I think.  Also, Darren I think you mentioned before that your family helps out with this or something? Maybe you know more about it!  Anyway, beyond that I have no idea what to do for Halloween.  But I love Haunted Houses and I always wanted to go :D

Very sad news, the guy who used to do fansview.com - Kevin Lillard quit.   He even took the site down :(  That used to be the first website I visited after every Animazement to see pictures.  Sadface

This is one of those entries where I'm mainly sorting out my to-do list.  Don't we all have those?

Um,
1.    Its really time to crack down on cosplay.  Really really!  Having a hard time getting motivated about it lately but I think my mind has just been on other things!  Can't wait to get my new sewing/studio room set up in the new house!

2.    Packing.  Never can start too early on that.

3.   Updating the ol' resume and website with new design stuff I've worked on.  Then maybe applying to jobs again.

4.   I want a druid.  I don't know why but I just do.

5.   Did I mention I need to sew?

6.  Beat Halo ODST with Beau- Co-op has been super fun...and I never knew this game would include adorable friendly aliens

Making my own fajitas tonight!  Woo!  Have to come up with some kind of marinade for that.  I'm so ready for October!!!

House!

So, as of this morning our house is a done deal!
We've signed all the initial paperwork and placed our deposit and officially 132 Sleepy Creek Dr. in Clayton will be our new home!

Let me backtrack a little, we did go looking at homes Tuesday and we fell head over heels for the fourth one we saw that night!  After the first couple of houses we saw, I was sure this was going to be a long hard process, but before we even stepped inside the last one, we knew it was amazing - and it just felt like home!  :)  That sounds completely cheesy and improbable but that's how it happened.  The house is beautiful and it looks completely brand new inside!

Anyway, we knew we'd have to act quickly because the house had only been on the market for 16  days and as it turned out there was an existing offer already on the table for it.  With a stroke of luck our offer was the one that was accepted!  Everything happened much faster than I expected but we've been looking at homes close to a year now before we actually had our pre-approval so I guess we knew what we were looking for by now.

Closing day is scheduled for October 30th and we plan to hopefully move in then assuming we can get internet hooked up that day so Beau can still work his first duty weekend from home.  Then of course, the next obvious event will be having everyone over for a big party!  haha!

Also we'll probably need some help moving since we have so much crap :P  Anyone up for being in the moving crew?  <3

We are looking at houses tomorrow!
For reals ><  We got approved for our loan so we might actually have our new home in the next couple of months!  I still keep trying NOT to get my hopes up.... Something could still go wrong?
All of you are responsible for visiting us in our new home though, big dinner party...and maybe hide and seek.  Ooh, and what's something you can do only if someone has a house?  Play music VERY LOUD and stomp on the floor?  Eh, I don't know, but I can promise good food!

Also, I've got some new graphic and web design experience under my belt for the ol' resume.  I'm finally not sick anymore either.  Things are getting better :)

I have also played some very awesome gameage lately...so I must report:
Batman was effin amazing.  Everything but the end fight.  That was just a little weird.  Beau spoiled it for me
I checked out the world's greatest Wii game I think,  Raving Rabbids TV Party - We played it at Thomas's house on Saturday and you literally play a game with your butt and get to watch people doing dances in sync...and the Rabbids are adorable.  Just play and you will see.
Getting very excited about Halo 3: ODST as well.  I think I might enjoy firefight mode since it's more like mowing down zombies in L4D  :D

It's such a gorgeous day....Have I ever mentioned how much I love Fall weather?  It does make me really nostalgic though, but in the excited happy sort of way.

Too bad I have to work so I can't sit here with the windows open- but I'm just happy I don't dread my job anymore.  :)  I'm getting full time hours this week!  I don't mind a bit.
Still found a little time to work on Rosa today.

Sadly WoW servers are down so I can't get work on my Shaman a little before work.

Back in the countdown making buisness!

Stephanie finally found another site where I can make my beloved simple cheesy countdowns.

So I made one for Anime USA:  The Not So official Countdown To Anime USA 2009

I think I'm going to make a our dry erase board in the studio a countdown too but this will help me when I need to cheat!  :P   More people should come to AUSA with us!

Oh also, I got the Assistant position!

Our beach trip was fun - we've been back for 4 days or so and we've done some shopping, played lots of video games (Arkham Asylum demo is sexy!)  and we even finally made it to see Lake Benson.   There's a huge lake just a few miles down the road from us and we finally went exploring, hiked the trails and had a picnic.  My sister even tagged along :)   I have funny pictures of Beau taming squirrels with potato chips.
I want to go back in the early morning - when it's not a million degrees outside and do some jogging.  Especially when the pool closes and I won't have that for my excercize time.

If there's anyone in the triangle area that wants to go walking/jogging sometimes - let me know!

Yesterday I did mad cleaning and so  today maybe I can actually relax and do something creative since all the work is done!  Rosa here I come!  I want to show everyone this painting I've started but I've hardly started it so maybe I'll paint some more first!  :P

Been feeling very down in the dumps since last night and I can't seem to pull myself up.  I guess that's just how it goes sometimes but it makes me feel worse because I can't focus on anything so I just do nothing.

I'm hoping that going to the beach for a week will wash away the nasty feeling I can't shake.  Beau's parents are selling their beach place so we're spending the next 6 days there starting tomorrow night before they close on it.  While that is very sad I've come to terms with it and still been looking forward to it til now.  I hope I can stop being so ridiculous soon.

Our wedding announcement should have appeared in this week's Clayton News Star in case anyone wants to see me or Beau in black and white. :P

Tomorrow I interview with the DM of my store for the assistant position!  Wish me luck!

Like an irresponsible nerd I will be attending the midnight opening of the new Harry Potter film in IMAX tonight instead of getting a good night's sleep.  After I beat Beau's wii sports archery scores (yea right)

Finished my dress form yesterday with the help of my lovely assistant and her free iced mocha! <3  We both agreed it felt pretty awesome to saw PVC pipes with our very own hacksaw!  Anyway, we took some fun pictures to eventually post a tutorial about it!

The most rewarding part was being able to pin my Rosa cape to the dress form and see it flowing everywhere!  It definetly motivated me to get started on that costume again.  I did pin myself to the cape on accident too though so now I need to shout out a tiny blood stain *_*

I can't wait to get started on a website for the studio!  I have an idea for a more complicated version of it but I want to get a quick version up so we can begin advertising some.  I finally got the studio more organized and tackled our crazy closet space so things are ready for the madness that will ensue before Anime USA.

Applied to a few more jobs today- why does it take me like an hour or more to do just one job application?  ><

I really really miss all my Boone friends!  And Boone in general.  I want to do like a camping trip in the fall before it gets cold. Anyone up for something like that?

Aion and such

Aion beta event starts in 3 hours - I'm so excited!  I miss playing an MMO so I hope this one is good.  It looks really beautiful and I've heard lots of good things about it so far.  It led to the somewhat needed re-install of windows on my laptop, but I'm somehow still going to play it ;P
(It really hated my sound drivers and the hard resets that resulted corrupted some windows startup files)\
Oh well, everyone wanted me to install XP anyway!   If anyone else happens to be playing the closed beta of Aion we need to exchange character names.

Finally started on my painting- it feels so great to be drawing and painting again!  Hopefully I'll get to do some more on it today.
Cleaning up the studio made me really want to start on a new costume.  I've got my Rosa one to work on - but I kind of want an easy one too to work on when I get tired of beading.  Anyone have any ideas?  There's really too many to choose from.  I'm registering for Anime USA with my next paycheck so the cosplay bug has bit me again.

Yay!  Brand new front loading washer and dryer is arriving in 15 minutes!  I've never been this excited about appliances before in my life!  I guess it's just part of being married and becoming boring like that, or maybe it's because I hate having to carry my laundry to and fro like a hobo waiting for someone to let me use their washer  :3  haha!

Supposedly the dryer sings a happy song when it's done!  ^-^

Wii Sports Resort in like only a few weeks!  My copy is almost paid off!  Even Beau is actually excited about a Wii game for once (don't repeat that too loud...he might start on a Nintendo rant)

Finally got our wedding announcement submitted - the publisher of the clayton news star is saying the July 22nd or July 29th paper should have it!  Wee!
